Scope and Content Information
There are 121 bound volumes, 1899-1936, containing records of optometric examinations kept by Keller & George Jewelers, Inc. of Charlottesville, Virginia. These record books contain concise records of examinations made and glasses prescribed and furnished. Name indexes are included in the volumes from February 1899 until September 1926. There are records kept for: objective examinations including ophthalmoscope, skiascope and keratometer; subjective examinations including trial lenses, muscle test, and dynamic refraction; glasses prescribed; and, dimensions for frames.
