The letter was purchased by the University of Virginia Library on February 13, 1996, from Robert F. Batchelder, Ambler, Pennsylvania.
Scope and Content Information
This addition to the autographs collection consists of a two page autograph letter, April 1, 1898, with envelope, from Woodrow Wilson, Princeton, New Jersey, to Professor W.H. Perkinson, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, regretfully declining an invitation to give the dedication address for the new University building due to a prior commitment.
