Acquisition Information

This collection was a gift of William B. O'Neal, Charlottesville, Virginia, through the courtesy of K. Edward Lay, Professor of Architecture at the University of Virginia, and was accessioned on April 20, 1989.

Scope and Content Information

This collection contains ca. 80 black-and-white photographs of "Edgemont," Albemarle County, Virginia, taken by G. Corner Fenhagen (ca. 1940) and William B. O'Neal (ca. 1960). The later photographs are superior to the earlier photographs in clarity and in contrast, and the original negatives for fifteen of the later photographs are present.
