Scope and Content Information
In this letter to D.M. Martin, November 19, 1926, F. N[elson] Doubleday of Doubleday, Page & Company, writes concerning a book by [Edna ?] Ferber, possibly Show Boat , which was objectionable to Catholic Church officials in Buffalo, New York. He also mentions that Tom Taggart's threats concerning the same book greatly increased its sales.
