This material was given to the Library by Matthew Bruccoli, Bruccoli Clark Layman, Inc., of Columbia, South Carolina, on November 20, 1991.

Scope and Content Information

The collection contains copies of two articles from World War I: "The devastated area" from The Squadroon by Ardern Hulme-Beaman and "Three ions in a grove" from Laughter in the Next Room by Sir Osbert Sitwell, which Matthew Bruccoli intended to use in an article about deserter legends and life in the trenches which was never published.
