Scope and Content Information
This collection consists of 325 items, 1972-1990, pertaining to Misses Olivia Alexander Taylor (1890-1985) and Margaret Randolph Taylor (1888-1985), of "Lochlyn," Charlottesville, Virginia, in the form of correspondence, papers, photographs, articles, and memorabilia. There is a photograph of the Misses Taylor in 1977 and of their gravesites. Tributes and obituaries are also included. In addition, there are a few letters and numerous articles relating to Thomas Jefferson and his descendants. Correspondents in this collection include the Misses Taylor; James A. Bear, Jr. and Daniel P. Jordan of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation, Inc.; Martha J. Taylor Stedman, Robert T. Coolidge, and William Leigh Taylor of The Monticello Association; John Melville Jennings of the Virginia Historical Society; James E. Wootton of Ash Lawn; Robert M. and Frances J. Hubbard, O.
