This collection was given to the Library by Mr. William D. Eppes, of New York, New York, on April 5, 1990.

Scope and Content Information

This collection consists of 325 items, 1972-1990, pertaining to Misses Olivia Alexander Taylor (1890-1985) and Margaret Randolph Taylor (1888-1985), of "Lochlyn," Charlottesville, Virginia, in the form of correspondence, papers, photographs, articles, and memorabilia. There is a photograph of the Misses Taylor in 1977 and of their gravesites. Tributes and obituaries are also included. In addition, there are a few letters and numerous articles relating to Thomas Jefferson and his descendants. Correspondents in this collection include the Misses Taylor; James A. Bear, Jr. and Daniel P. Jordan of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation, Inc.; Martha J. Taylor Stedman, Robert T.
