C. Brian Kelly, of Charlottesville, Virginia, is a former journalist, magazine editor, columnist for Military History magazine, and University of Virginia English professor.

Scope and Content Information

This addition to the papers of C. Brian Kelly, ca. 45 items, ca. 1993-1997, consists of book covers, dust jackets, publicity material, and book reviews for publications written and published by Kelly and his wife, Ingrid Smyer-Kelly; articles by Kelly; and related material. These include Tales of the Clubhouse Cat (Cont.) A Christmas Tale at That! and books in the series called Best Little Stories from the Civil War , Best Little Stories from the White House , and Best Little Stories from World War II . Articles by Kelly include: "1864 Holiday Was Bleak for the South" in The Washington Times ; three Best Little Stories excerpts in Military History ; and "Log Homes were Presidents ' Pride" in Country's Best Log Homes . C. Brian Kelly and his wife, Ingrid Smyer-Kelly, teamed up to form Montpelier Publishing which published the Best Little Stories series and other works.
