This addition to the Hench-Blackmore Collection consists of an autograph letter signed from Richard Doddridge Blackmore , July 11, 1879, Teddington, to Messrs. Sampson Low, Marston & Company , thanking them for the royalty cheque covering three of his books, Clara Vaughan , Craddock Nowell , and Lorna Doone , and enclosing a receipt for the royalty payment, with Blackmore's signature across the one penny inland revenue stamp, on the inside page of the letter.
