Scope and Content
This bound volume contains minutes, February 1985 to November 1986, of meetings of the Board of Managers of the Thomas Jefferson Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution , submitted by Thomas H. Conner , Recording Secretary, along with related papers. Included are copies of letters from officers William Ramsey Richardson , Earl C. Leake , and J. Lawrence Meems, Jr. ; meeting agendas; budget proposals and treasurer's reports; lists of members and applicants; and, printed material. Items of interest are a copy of Flintlock & Powderhorn which contains the text of a sermon by William Ramsey Richardson entitled "God's Presence in Our Land--Yesterday and Today"; copies of Virginia Independent ; "Celebrating the Bicentennial of Our Constitution," a reported submitted by Robert E. Merrill ; and, a copy of the Charter, March 18, 1939, for the Thomas Jefferson Chapter.
