These items were given to the University of Virginia Library by William B. O'Neal on February 12, 1998, through the Rare Books Division.

Scope and Content Information

The collection consists chiefly of friendly notes, thank-yous and invitations decorated with Warren Chappell's pen & ink drawings and watercolors, 32 items, ca. 1979-1986, and undated, addressed to William B. O'Neal, Charlottesville, Virginia. Also included are two letters from Clinton Sisson regarding a Chappell exhibit in Alderman library on February 6, 1983, printed invitations to exhibitions at the William Drummond Covent Garden Gallery, London, Great Britain, and one invitation illustrated by Chappell to a luncheon for Kathy Morgan (1990).
