The Library purchased these items from Central Virginia Coin & Antique Exchange, on 1988 November 14.

Scope and Content Information

In a letter, 1889 August 29, Frances E. Willard, Evanston, Illinois, writes to "My dear Mrs. Terhune," [Marion Harland] mentioning an article she has written for the Union Signal ; an article on women's suffrage she plans to write for Harland after Thanksgiving; and of the overwhelming amount of work involved with the upcoming Women's Christian Temperance Union convention in Chicago on November 8-12.

The collection also includes a sepia photograph, n.d., of Willard, head and shoulders.
