This portion of the Massey Faulkner collection was placed on deposit on 14 November 1966 and later changed to a gift on 14 August 1967.
Scope and Content Information
This collection contains, 1956-1961, n.d., manuscripts by Faulkner and screenplays by others. Faulkner manuscripts include Today We Live , 1933 April 8, The Reivers , 1961 August 21 and notes regarding an unidentified screenplay, ca. 1936. Screenplays by others include James Poe's Sanctuary , 1960, and Irving Ravetch's and Harriet Frank's The Long Hot Summer , 1957, which they based on Faulkner's The Hamlet . There is also a copy of the stage production of Requiem For a Nun by Lemuel Ayers.
