Scope and Content Information
"Pork or Possibly 'The Bacon'" by Ezra Pound, an original unpublished essay on banking, with corrections. Dating from the period when Pound was working on his money pamphlets, the essay is chiefly concerned with the backwardness of the then current economic theory. Pound recommends the type of banking arrangement found in the medieval example of the Monte dei Paschi of Siena, termed by Pound as a "reconstruction bank." 6 p. TMS
