Scope and Content Information
Samuel Iraneus Prime writes to Rufus Wilmot Griswold requesting a biographical sketch of a Reverend Prof. Moses Stuart, recently deceased, apparently to write an obituary in the N. Y. Observer , the newspaper for which Mr. Primes serves as editor. Mentions a similar biographical sketch of Dr. Archibald Alexander, previously provided by Mr. Griswold. Also mentions the pay scale for providing such information (by the printed column, at 4 dollar/column).
