Scope and Content Information
Pencil sketch of Dorothy Gish (portraying the character of La Clavel) by Everett Shinn, art director for the movie based on Joseph Hergesheimer's book The Bright Shawl and filmed in Havana, Cuba; the sketch of La Clavel, who wore "the bright shawl" in the film, was laid in a presentation copy of the book from Hergesheimer to Shinn (Barrett PS3515.E628B7 1922.)
