Scope and Content Information
In this letter, Richard Le Gallienne (1866-1947), Mulberry Cottage, Boston Road, Brentford, writes to "My Dear Johnny" [his publisher, John Lane?] on May 22, 1895. He asks his friend for a loan to tide him over until he could complete his book, The Quest for the Golden Girl , and discusses his financial affairs in detail, including the payment of hs insurance premium and receiving fifty pounds for editing The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam .
