Letter, November 17, 1975, from Stephen Longstreet to Matthew J. Bruccoli, recalling William Faulkner's career as screenwriter in Hollywood during the 1940's, and mentioning his work on the screenplays for Longstreet's novel Stallion Road, and on The Big Sleep and To Have and Have Not with Howard Hawks. He also refers to the events that lead to Faulkner's writing his novel The Fable.
