Explains loss of letter written by Wendell to Dean Agnes Irwin after Phi Beta address of Horace Furness [1833-1912] and which had been forwarded to her. Apologizes as an old lady of 79, and asks Wendell to write his thoughts about the address, so that she can relay them to her brother.
