Scope and Content Information
In this letter from Jesse Stuart, Riveton, Kentucky, to George Stevens, Saturday Review of Literature, New York City, Stuart writes concerning the copyright for his poem, "Sandy Waters," which he has allowed composer Sydney King Russell to set to music, and thanks Stevens for publishing the poem originally; now Nelson Eddy has sung Russell's version in Hollywood and Schirmer of New York is publishing it as a song. He also encloses a newsclipping of the girl for whom the words were written, Naomi Deane Norris Stuart (electrostatic copy present).
