Scope and Content Information
This collection consists of a letter from Charles Dudley Warner, Hartford, to "My Dear Shepherd." He appreciates the gift sent by Mr. Jordan through Mr. Shepherd, which arrived during the opening of presents at Christmas. The gift consisted of the boiled skull of a Sioux Indian killed by an arrow, "I think the Indian method of death is much neater than ours."
