Scope and Content Information
In this letter to Moffat, Yard and Company (on letterhead "The Players," Sixteen Gramercy Park), Irving Bacheller, Riverside, Connecticut, regrets that their letter did not reach him prior to December, for his book is now sold, and expresses his interest in working with them. He comments that he believes "in the house that has a few good books and puts a lot of work on them," referring to his first book with Lothrop Company.
