Scope and Content Information

In this letter to Arthur Brentano of New York, Richard Harding Davis of Mount Kisco, New York, expresses his surprise that "One who has done as much for French literature as yourself" had not been formally recognized by the French government for his contribution and commitment, and offers to suggest to those in authority that Brentano should be so honored.
