Manton Davis was the American legal advisor to the Inter-Allied Rhineland High Commission.
Scope and Content Information
Davis' papers contain the ordinances and instructions pertaining to the military occupation of the territories of the Rhine; notes on the meetings of the commission; and reports of Henry T. Allen to the U.S. Secretary of State re the occupation and the work of the commission.
