Scope and Content Information
The history and genealogy contains McKay's 1951 transcript of the Fairfax land suit papers, 1749-1772, in the British Museum. The controversy was between Fairfax, as proprietor of the "Northern Neck" and representatives of the land promotion company of Hite, McKay, Duff, and Green.
