This collection consists chiefly of correspondence between George Green Shackelford and his mother, Peachy Gascoigne (Lyne) Shackelford of "Willow Grove," Orange County, Virginia, containing family news. Also included is material regarding George Green Shackelford's naval reserve service; obituaries of Virginius Randolph Shackelford, father of George Green Shackelford; memorabilia; and photographs.
