The collection was given to the University by Mrs. Elsie Fowke Jackson of Alexandria, Virginia, in October 1977.
Scope and Content Information
This collection includes ca. 75 items, 1816-1819, and 1867-1973, primarily of the Fowke and Reed families. The materials have been arranged in three series: a manuscripts series, including correspondence, geneological material, receipts and photographs; a printed series, including magazine and newspaper clippings; and a series of bound materials.
