Acquisition Information
The Papers of Albemarle Confederate Memorial Association were given to the Library by Mrs. Edward Younger of Crozet, Virginia on October 20, 1981.
Scope and Content Information
This collection consists of thirty-three items, 1933-1943, chiefly correspondence, financial records, two bank books, and a ledger of the Albemarle Confederate Memorial Association of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Charlottesville, Virginia. The correspondence discusses the maintenance of the Confederate Cemetary, the construction of a wall separating it from the University of Virginia Cemetary, and the Association's expenditures for the cemetary. The financial records include receipts, cancelled checks, and bank statements.
