Scope and Content Information
This additional material contains four items, 1944, 1976 and 1982, pertaining to Hugh Scott's career in politics. Included are a letter, August 21, 1944, from David A. Shepard, London, to Hugh Scott, House of Representatives, Washington, D.C., concerning the letter's "contact with Admiral Sir Geoffrey Blake," together with a letter, January 14, 1982, from Scott to Edmund Berkeley, Jr., explaining the circumstances of the letter. There are also a statement by Scott and a newspaper clipping on the occasion of his retirement from the Senate in 1976.
