Acquisition Information
Alan Cheuse of Fairfax, Virginia, placed his papers on loan to the Library on November 10, 1992. The papers were purchased by the Library on September 11, 2003.
Scope and Content Information
This addition to the papers of Alan Cheuse consists of five preliminary drafts of his novel The Light Possessed (formerly called The Rose in the Skull ), 1989-1990, all containing corrections and changes in the text by the author and his editor. Also present is a folder of notes and suggestions (23 items) made by several different readers concerning The Light Possessed before publication.
