Scope and Content
This collection consists of a 1787 land grant to John Stevens and Thomas Meed, assignees of Joseph Dickson for 440 acres by survey dated 26 April 1783 for land in Montgomery County on the waters of Reed Creek, a branch of the New River, between Pine Ridge and Brushy Mountain. The grant is signed by Gov. Edmund Randolph of the Commonwealth of Virginia, 8 October 1787.
