Biographical Information
Robert Lafayette Umberger, son of Rufus Umberger and Mary M. Davis Umberger, married Mattie D. Dickenson, daughter of Thomas Fleenor. Both Umberger and Dickenson were widowed at the time of their marriage. Umberger was 40 and Dickenson was 39 when they were married by Rev. D. H. Petrie at Petunia Church in Wythe County, Virginia on 5 July 1895.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of a marriage license for Robert Lafayette Umberger and Mattie D. Dickenson.
