Biographical / Historical
Harold O. Pressman was born in New York City in 1905. He attended New York City public schools and the University of Virginia. He studied law at UVA and at the University of Southern California, where he graduated in 1932. He was admitted to the Bar in 1933, and practice private law until 1943. He entered the Army Air Corps in 1943 and served in the China-Burma-India theatre. In 1945, he began to work in the District Attorney's Office of the City of Los Angeles, where he remained until his retirement. He wrote many articles and lectured on Reciprocal [Child] Support. He was member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Harold O. Pressman died in 1992.
Scope and Contents
This small collection of memorabilia consists of some law school notes and copies of letters and newspaper articles regarding Mr. Pressman's work with the National Support Law [Absent Fathers, Child Support].
