The collection was donated by Anne Paul in July 2010. Paul was the co-executor of Margaret Mourot's estate.

The collection were removed from 3-ring binders and non-archival protective sleeves and placed into folders.
Biographical Note
Margaret M. Mourot (1908-2003) was born in Alexandria, Virginia. She received her bachelor's degree from George Washington University and later taught at the Lee School in Alexandria. She and her husband, Dr. Arthur J. Mourot (1904-1998), became historic preservationists and art collectors, preserving several properties in Old Town Alexandria. In 1962 they received an architectural award from the Alexandria Association for their work in restoring their home at 211 S. Asaph Street.
Scope and Contents
This collection includes correspondence, photographs, prints, receipts, postcards, clippings, and brochures related to the purchase and exhibition of the Mourot's Meissen porcelain collection. The correspondence included in the collection is primarily between R.H. Wark and Dr. Mourot, whom Wark addresses as "Bud". Also included are letters between the Mourots and various dealers in England, Scotland, and Germany.

The collection is organized into one series and the correspondence is arranged chronologically.
